About Us – Gleitschirm-Tandemflug.com

Our Story

Gleitschirm-Tandemflug.com was founded in 2012 by me, Daniel Kofler – driven by a simple conviction: flying is the most wonderful thing in the world. And joy only grows when you share it.

I have been flying as a tandem pilot since 2006. With every flight, it became clearer to me that here in East Tyrol we have a gift that is truly one of a kind. Our launch site at Zettersfeld – with a view of the iconic Steinermandl – opens up an arena that could hardly be more impressive. Before us lies the panorama of the Lienz Dolomites, surrounded by 268 peaks over 3,000 metres. Not far away rises the Grossglockner at 3,798 metres – the highest mountain in Austria.

We call this flying area the Airpark Lienz Dolomites. A playground for many sports – and yet they say: only flying is more beautiful. It is precisely this feeling that gave birth to Gleitschirm-Tandemflug.com.

East Tyrol stands for authentic, sustainable and deliberately moderate tourism. No mass crowds, but real nature, genuine encounters and honest experiences. The perfect conditions for a tandem flight that comes closest to the free flight of the golden eagles here in the heart of the Alps.

Our flying area has character. It demands experience, sensitivity and respect for wind and weather. That is why we do not fly on an assembly-line schedule. We focus on quality, safety and time for you. Every passenger is a premium guest to us – and that is exactly how we treat you.

New Name, Same Passion

From 1 January 2026, we are now called KOFLY, as our old name Gleitschirm-Tandemflug.com and our domain repeatedly caused confusion. Of course, we will remain accessible online under both names in the future.
