Our tandem flights launch from Zettersfeld / Steinermandl. On request we also fly from Hochstein and every other flying site in East Tyrol and Upper Carinthia. 268 three-thousand-metre peaks, over 300 flying days a year.

Lienz & valley

10 min to launch

The sunny capital is our base. From the centre or Iselsberg you reach the cable car in ten minutes – meeting point at the Touch Heaven landing site or the ticket office in Gaimberg. Launch at Zettersfeld, landing in the valley floor.

Sillian & Puster Valley

approx. 45 min

From Innervillgraten, Abfaltersbach or Heinfels you reach Zettersfeld comfortably. On request we also launch directly from the Thurntaler – one call is all it takes.

Matrei & Kals

approx. 30–45 min

Holiday near the Großglockner or in the Iseltal? Zettersfeld is 30–45 minutes away. On request we also launch from Goldried above Matrei with a direct view of the Großglockner.

Defereggen Valley

St. Jakob & Hopfgarten

A remote high valley with stable thermals. About 45 minutes to Zettersfeld. On request we also fly directly in the Defereggen for guests staying in St. Jakob and Hopfgarten i. D.

Why East Tyrol is Austria's best tandem paragliding region

East Tyrol offers over 300 flying days per year – more than any other Alpine region north of the Dolomites. The sheltered southern location brings stable thermals, little föhn wind and reliable launches.

Around Lienz rise 268 three-thousand-metre peaks, with the Großglockner (3,798 m) and the Großvenediger (3,657 m) as your backdrop. You fly over the Hohe Tauern National Park – Austria's largest protected area.

East Tyrol focuses on gentle, sustainable tourism. No mass processing – with us you're personally with your pilot, not on a conveyor belt.

Frequently asked questions about tandem paragliding in East Tyrol

Where exactly do we fly in East Tyrol?

Depending on weather and your location, we launch from Zettersfeld, Hochstein, Thurntaler or Goldried. The meeting point is confirmed on the day of the flight. The classic launch is Zettersfeld in Lienz, 10 minutes by gondola.

When is the best time for a tandem flight in East Tyrol?

East Tyrol is a year-round region. May to October offers warm thermals and long flight times. In winter, the Ski & Fly tandem flight from a snow-covered Zettersfeld is a unique experience.

How far in advance should I book?

In high season (July-August) we recommend 1-2 weeks lead time. In low season, 2-3 days is often enough. Spontaneous WhatsApp requests are welcome – we usually find a slot.

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

We only fly in safe conditions. In bad weather we reschedule free of charge or cancel – no cancellation fees, no discussion.

How do I get to the launch site?

To Zettersfeld you take the gondola (operating 9 am-5 pm). For remote sites we arrange transport – either with our vehicle or a shared ride. Details at booking.
