The Thermal flight is for you when you don't want to just be flown – you want to actually fly – in the updrafts that make the Lienz Dolomites one of Europe's best thermal regions every summer.
We hook into the thermals, climb hundred metres at a time, float next to paragliders and eagles, use the waves on the mountain flanks. No two flights are the same.
Thermals form when warm air rises along sun-exposed slopes. As a tandem pilot you recognise them through clouds, bird movement and the feel of the wing. We use them to stay aloft – no engine, just experience.
The thermal flight lasts 45 to 90 minutes. You feel how the wing is carried, how we circle, how we're suddenly 500 metres higher. That's free flying in its real form.
May to September, between 10 am and 3 pm. In summer the thermal conditions are strongest. We know the weather windows and book your slot so the chance is maximum.
For people who have already flown once and want more. For outdoor enthusiasts who want to feel what paragliding really is as a sport. For photographers and nature lovers – the perspective is unique.
Not suitable for people with strong motion sickness or acute fear of heights. Classic turns and G-forces are part of it, always aligned with you.

We monitor conditions continuously. If the thermals are too weak or too strong on the day, we reschedule free of charge. Final confirmation comes the day before or in the morning.
Not with calm thermal flying. If you want we can fly steeper turns – always aligned with you. Everything is optional.
45 to 90 minutes. If conditions are outstanding, we fly longer – as long as you enjoy it.
Yes, with an experienced pilot and certified equipment. Thermals are our workplace – we read them every day. Reserve parachute is always on board.
